CARNIVAL

This year, I think that was the best Carnival of my life. I went with a group of more than 200 persons and we went as unicorns. I only went a weekend. Friday was the best day of all Carnival because I saw all my friends and I talked to them obviously. We danced and we spent the nice really good. We left Empuriabrava at 3:00 AM. Saturday was also good, that day, Carnival was at Castello and I liked it because there was a lot more people, but there were also lots of drunk teenagers, but well, I was with my friends and we celebrated Carnival as normal persons. That day we left Castello at 2:00 AM. The last day was Sunday and it was in Empuriabrava again, but this time was at the morning, I didn't enjoy it that much because there wasn't as much people as the rest of the days. I'll import some pictures so you can see of what I'm talking about.

BEHIND THE SCENES OF OUR ENGLISH MOVIE

One of the tasks that we had to do this term was to film a short horror movie. I did it with Mariona Arnau, Laila el Hmidi and Mont Cabre.
We wet a day at the "Old Bridge" at Castello and we started filming. We had to wait for Mont because she arrived 30 min later (as always). After she came, we started to plan our scenes and all that stuff. We filmed at the abandonated zoo. We were really frightened because we heard noises and we knew that there was a poor crazy man that lived there. We continued filming and then the man appeared and we yelled as much as we could. We run to the exit and then, we went to the Ruiz Amado school to continue filming there. After we finished filming, Laila and Mariona left earlier so Mont and I had to walk from Castello Nou to Castello d'Empuries, we passed the bridge in between and we were really scared after all the happenings.

CHRISTMAS EVE

I spent my holidays at Romania with my family. The 24th was the most stressfull day, as always, because all it has to be perfect, the food has to be prepared, the lights and tree must be perfect...
I helped my family with as much things as I could, for example: I prepared the cake ( it was a tree shaped cake covered with green fondant and icing for the details and stuff... I also helped my father with the lights of the tree, because I have better tastes obviously. Finally, the night came, and we invited our friends and family to come to our house to eat dinner and celebrate Christmas. Then at 00:00 Santa Claus came, and we opened our gifts and took some family pictures that actually I have in my room and are really well kept.
The 26th was a lot more relaxing because we went to my aunt's house and we spent the day there. 
And basically those were my 2017 Christmas Holidays, we did other stuff that I consider personal and I won't like to expose.

THE SHINING

7 "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" is supposed to be scary, but I don't understand. Why is it scary and what does it mean?

-  It means that without leisure time a person becomes bored and anodyne.

8 Who is Tony?

 - Tony it's Danny's imaginary friend

9 We see Jack in the picture at the end of the film which was painted in 1921 which I guess means that Nicholson was either possessed or reincarnated...but does anyone have a definite answer? Or does Kubrick just want us to decide for ourselves?

 - He was reincarnated in a bad person every time.

10 Who is the old woman in room 237 and what is her significance?

 - She is mrs. Massey and she was an older woman who came to the overlook to have an affair with a younger fellow (Jack Torrance). She represents the overwall seductive power of evil that inhabits the hotel, and is taking over Jack.

11 Does Danny's ability to "shine" have any connection to Jack's insanity and the events that occur in the hotel?

 Danny and Derver had the same ability to "shine".

12 If Jack is a reincarnation, how does he not know Danny possesses the shining? The other ghosts, such as Delbert Grady, who have always been there, can see Danny's talent. If Jack has always been there, how come he can't see what Grady sees?
